HistoryOur company was founded over 100 years ago in both England and the Netherlands. Operating under the name Blythe Colours, it quickly grew to become a successful international business, joining the Johnson Matthey group during the 1950s.
In the period leading up to the 1980s the company established itself as a leading global supplier to the glass and ceramic industries. This success arose from our high standards of technical innovation and product manufacture, especially in the introduction of new and unleaded products to satisfy growing environmental needs.
In the 1990s we invested extensively in processing technology, developing new product categories such as advanced ceramics and conductive pastes, whilst also serving new market sectors such as electronics and aerospace.
We have always taken great pride in our quality systems – and we were amongst the first in our industry to achieve ISO accreditation for our quality and environmental standards.
We are committed to on-going growth through technical innovation that delivers safe, reliable and high-quality products for today and the future.
