| Description: | Technically advanced four-colour decal products developed for inglaze decoration. The four-colour printing process allows ceramic decal manufacturers to cost-effectively reproduce complex, high-resolution, multicolour images. |
| Benefits: | Reduced stockholding Reduced delivery lead times Reduced costs, compared to the traditional screen printing process Optimum colour space Enhanced printability through finer meshes High chemical durability Suitable for conventional and fast firing. |
| Printing Recommendations: | Mesh sizes High-resolution images of 110 lines per inch (raster point 43) will, typically, require screens of 355-380 mesh ( 150T) for inglaze systems. Printing order For most reproduction jobs, colours are printed in the following order: 1 - Yellow 2 - Cyan 3 - Magenta 4 – Black Printing Medium Accurate reproduction of the halftone dot structure is critical to the quality of the four colour image. A thixotropic medium enables the ink to flow through the fine mesh and maintain a high-resolution dot image. Recommendations on the right kind of printing medium can be given on request. Powder-to-medium ratios Powder-to-medium ratios should be adjusted, so as to produce an ink that maintains printability through finer meshes whilst maintaining the halftone dot structure. Details of powder-to-medium ratios are available on request. |
