Thermoplastic screen printing productsOur thermoplastic screen-printing products are solid and waxy at room temperature – but on heating, they melt to a liquid ink that can be used for a variety of direct printing techniques.
Inks fire as a bright mirror-like reflective film on the substrate and are available in both gold and platinum colours; they are a solution of organic precious and non-precious metal compounds and resins (and/or waxes) in a mixture of organic solvents and essential oils.
Product features include:
• Free from ozone depleting chemicals, lead, cadmium and other heavy metals.
• Excellent printing properties.
• Formation of a solid layer (immediately after printing) that can be overprinted with enamel.
• Compatibility with most enamels.
• Bright metallic sheen with outstanding brilliance.
• Good adherence and general performance on most substrates
Our thermoplastic screen-printing inks can be applied by printing at a range of different thicknesses. Please note that the thickness of the precious metal ink is critical in achieving satisfactory and economical results, so application should be as even as possible. In addition, the end result of the fired decoration very much depends on the application and the substrate.
